The guy who lives here and I are going out on the first date we've had in 2 years. My mom is coming over to spend the night with the boys so we can go out and pretend like we're normal adults. Our plan was to go to the restaurant were we had our second date. (First date place went out of business--not an omen, right?) They're closed for the 4th along with almost every other fine dining restaurant in a three county area. There is one place to go. Just one. It's a steak house. The guy makes the best steaks I've ever eaten so I don't want to go pay an outrageous price for a steak that won't be as good as the one I can get at home.
