Water fun

I love this little pool. I can set it up in the backyard and sit inside the COOL house and watch them. And they like making messes and splashing and driving each other crazy. Win Win! Photobucket

Bath time fun

I think Brock only goes out back so that he can come inside and take a bath. He'll be out there for all of 5 minutes before asking to come back inside and take a bath. Silly.

Creative kiddos

I love my children. I love that I can be sick as a dog and they can keep themselves pretty much entertained all day. Just throw some pop tarts and cereal on the table and they're good to go. They will build elaborate lego houses or lincoln log garages. They build tents in their rooms. They're favorite is to make obstacle courses out of the chairs and pillows and blankets strewn all around the house. Here are some of the creations I've come upon lately.

I kinda wanted to try this one out

Can you spot Bronco in this one?

I need to get better about taking pictures of their creations. I giggle often when they call me to look at what they've done.

Thank you, Blue Bell, for loving me as much as I love you.

Easter

Publishing Easter in August. I ought to be a ashamed. I'll let you know a really good excuse later! We did some egg dying the day before and I hid the eggs after nap on the day of Easter. The kids had so much fun searching!

Daddy had to do a bit of helping

We only had one mishap. At the end of searching, Brock and I both got in a big ant bed. But eating candy afterwards was worth it!

Orange Glory Rolls

My mother-in-law has shared a super awesome recipe with me. She calls them orange glory rolls and they're almost a monkey bread except orange-y. YUM

Photobucket

Take 2 cans of biscuits--NOT Grands--10 biscuits in each can--and put them in a greased bundt pan. This picture is with Grands. I learned the hard way that these suckers never get all the way done b/c they're just too big!
 Photobucket

Melt together: 1 stick of butter 1 cup of sugar 2 tbsp. grated orange rind 2 tbsp. orange juice Photobucket

Heat through until sugar is totally dissolved. Pour this over the biscuits and giggle the pan a bit. Photobucket

Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are firm and the tops are starting to brown. Find a big place to put on top of your pain. Do a careful flip while the pan is still HOT. Once these things dry it's like trying to chisel them out of cement. You might have to do some banging or jimmying to get them to drop on your plate. Be prepared for a mess unless your plate is a good bit bigger than your pan.

That all probably sounds a bit involved there at the end but it's WORTH IT. As soon as I make it again I'll get you a picture of a slice.

Lucky Duck

Since we were in Florida for Riley's birthday, he got to celebrate twice! BeBe and Granddaddy came over for a quick party after we got home. And the child got MORE cake! Photobucket

Let's get dirty!
 Photobucket

We moved the kids' castle into Riley's room to get it out of my library. It has led to lots of fun for the boys (and quiet time for Mama!
