The reason I've been sucking at blogging lately

Photobucket

We're having a baby!

And it's a GIRL.

Will I have to rename my blog? Or will she just be my sidekick on this land of Mars? She's due December 6, 2012. And now that we're over the SHOCK of producing a girl child, we're getting excited about her getting here. We're even going to paint and decorate the nursery for her. And it's all The Guy's design. Blue skies and green hills with flowers and a neat tree decal and plenty of pink accents.

Less than 3 months to go!

Building

Grandma and Grandpa got the boys Lincoln Logs last Christmas and they love to play with them. One Father's Day, the boys begged Daddy to build the building on the "map".Photobucket

Figuring it out.

Putt Putt at Pirate's Island

A Gulf Shores tradition that my brother and I grew up doing. We had to make a little trip to play putt putt at the pirate ship place.

We were not so lucky to actually play on the ship when we were little, but now they have a hole on there!

Gulf Shores

It didn't take too long before we were joined by my brother, Dan, my nephew, Alex, and my sister-in-law, Nakissa. They had flown in from Dallas to Pensacola and then were stranded in Pensacola because of flooding. But they finally found a route out and made it.
They boys pretty much idolize Alex. They think he is the coolest ever. Which they should!

Every morning the adults would go out and look for dolphins and drink coffee. Granddaddy had a sidekick one morning.

The children begged and begged to head down to the water as soon as they woke up each morning. Daddy only joined us in the water once but he made it memorable, staying out with the boys for hours.

The boys were naturals in the water. They had tons of fun! Photobucket

Gulf Shores

At the beginning of June we went somewhere that holds a dear place in my heart. I grew up spending a week every summer at the beach. Our family, along with some other families from our church, would go down to Gulf Shores and stay in a big house right on the beach. BeBe decided to treat us to a trip this summer. My brother and his family, my parents, and all of us headed down for the boys first time at the beach and seeing the "ocean". While I got unpacked, BeBe took them down to the sand and water.

Brock had had a little accident on the way down--hence the no shorts look he was sporting. Photobucket

They loved it! BeBe had to drag them back up to the house! Photobucket

They were both filthy and wet but Brock was soaked from head to tow. Photobucket

I can't wait to take them back in a few years. More pictures coming.

Random

Trouble loves to trap Bronco places...down the hall, on the stairs, in the bathroom. Old kitty has to get his perks somewhere! Fear.
